Bijan Robinson, RB

“Our offense, we just couldn’t get the run game going. All we can do is just look forward to getting back to practice, being able to work hard again, because this one does hurt.”

On the Texas defense tonight: “You know, they fought their butts off tonight. They played amazing and I give credit to all those guys. And then for the offense, we just couldn’t capitalize on anything. During halftime, we were hyped up, we’re getting each other going, getting ready to get back out there for the second half and give a good game, give a great game.”

On people blaming quarterback Quinn Ewers for the offensive struggles: “No, it’s the whole offense. I mean, it starts with the running back room. We call this on everybody on offense. We just couldn’t find our rhythm. Sometimes we just had miscommunications. Those are little things that we needed to get to win the game and to be efficient on offense.”

Jahdae Barron, DB

On Barryn Sorrell’s strong performance: “I’m proud of him. He’s kind of always on my side (of the field). I’m always in the field (area) and stuff like that. So we talk during the plays, just to communicate with the edge player, but I’m proud of him. He just plays fast and physical. It makes me want to play fast.”

On the locker room post-game: “Coach (Steve) Sarkisian, he just preached that number one; we lose as a team, we win as a team. And we just have to stay buying in and just be prepared and ready for next weekend.”

Quinn Ewers, QB

“Yeah, I just think it was an off night for us guys. I mean, we just didn’t execute the way that we believe we can, and obviously I think we only converted one third down, which at the end of the day just doesn’t get it done.”

On the second half mentality coming out of the half: “Going into halftime, we’ve been talking about it all week that we were going to come out after the half and kind of keep that same energy we had when we were coming out for the beginning of the game. But yeah, all the other conversations were positive. It was only a three-point game at that time. We were in it at the end the game. We were still there. Yeah, our defense played a heck of a game too.”
