ON WHAT THE BIG WIN OVER ALABAMA MEANS:

“I’m so fired up right now. We worked so hard this offseason and for it to finally show, it’s just so special. I don’t think it’s really quite sunk in yet what we did here, but I know we’re going to enjoy this one. I couldn’t be more fired up.”

ON STAYING THE COURSE AFTER FALLING BEHIND:

“I think that just goes to show how mature we are as a team. After how much adversity we went through last year, and to learn from that and be able to bounce back, like you said our offense didn’t flinch and the defense didn’t either. I couldn’t be more proud of these guys.”

ON WHAT IT MEANS TO FINISH THE GAME THIS TIME AROUND:

“It’s super special. Like you said, I wasn’t able to play the full game last year, so to come out here and do what we did, I’m so proud of the way we attacked this game.”

Jaylan Ford, LB

On FINISHING THE GAME STRONG:

“You know I was telling some guys on the sideline, we’ve been through so much. We’ve seen so many leads fall out of our hands in past games. I’ve been here four years so I’ve seen a lot of football. So just to see the progress we made to be able to finish games. That’s one thing we harped on so much, coach Sark harped on finishing games so much. And just to come out here at Bryant-Denny Stadium, backs against the wall, to go out there and play like we did and finish how we did, I don’t think anybody in this locker room could be any prouder than every guy that has a jersey on. That’s a coach or a staff member. This win is definitely good for us and we’ll remember this feeling.

ON THE COMPLETE TEAM WIN:

“I think today, credit to the offense cause there was a couple of times, more in the second half, when they [Alabama] kind of got the best of us and got points on the board, you know a touchdown or whatever, and the offense was able to go out there and answer right back. For the defense, we have a mentality that the game isn’t over until the clock hits zero. So we knew we just needed to keep going out there, keep doing us and keep playing ball. All the work we’ve put in this offseason, we knew we had the stamina, the mental toughness and all that to go out there and finish this game. Just to get the offense going and play complimentary football on both sides was huge for us.”

Jahdae Barron, DB

ON THE MENTALITY HEADING INTO THE GAME:

“It was honestly just the confidence. Just knowing that we were on the road, and we looked back against Arkansas and we didn’t want that picture again, we didn’t want that feeling again ending up like that and we knew what we had to do. Sark told us at the begining of the week ‘get behind me’ so we got behind him and we trust Sark all the way.”

ON HIS FILM STUDY:

“I love the film room, I stay in the film room. Me and Ford, we’ve been at it together. We’ve been just trying to get our communication right. Ford has been leading me and you know now I’m tied with Ford with one pick, so I’m having a good little start right now.”

Byron Murphy, DL

ON THE SUCCESS OF THE DEFENSIVE FRONT:

“We just knew throughout the week that this game was going to depend on us and how we play up front. We took pride in that and went out there and got the job done.”

ON FACING ALABAMA’S OFFENSIVE LINE:

“It took a lot of hard work and everybody just being on the same page out there and just doing their job. That’s really it, that’s really what it took.”

ON CELEBRATING THE ROAD WIN:

“It felt amazing man. It was a great atmosphere and I’ll never forget that moment. I was very excited and it was a great moment for me, I’ll never forget that.”
