Quinn Ewers, QB

What did the ovation coming out for Senior Day mean to you?

“It meant for all the years that we’ve all put the work in together, just from where we started from when Coach sark got here to where we are now, I mean, it’s a cool feeling.”

How’s the ankle injury?

“It’s just a little tender. I’m going to do as much treatment as I can. We were around the 50-yard line, I stepped up, and I kind of took off running a little bit, then I got hip-dropped tackled, and I think he kind of just rolled up under me. It’s football and stuff like that happens.”

Tre Wisner, RB

Sarkisian said Wisner is “cut from a Brillo pad”. Where does that come from?

“My mother. Being raised by my mom, she taught me a lot of things about toughness and that goes a long way with me. Having a little brother and little sister, I have to be tough for them in situations we grew up in.”

On why he plays with a chip on his shoulder and why every run is like his last play:

“That comes from the opportunities that I’m blessed with. Being a kid that doesn’t come from much, now that I’m blessed with this opportunity, I wouldn’t be able to go out there and not play with a chip.”

Kelvin Banks, OT

On running the ball every play on the final scoring drive in the fourth quarter:

“I mean, we were getting tired. It was a really good feeling to have, after the drought we went through in the third quarter. It was good to finish with some success on the ground.”

Anthony Hill Jr, LB

On if Hill Jr has been working on his sack dances:

“No, they just come to me. It’s hard to plan it out with so much emotion going on. But it’s fun.”

What did the Texas defense show today?

“Just that we are a great defense that’s going to try to continue to leave our mark on the field.”

Jahdae Barron, DB

On seeing Andrew Mukuba get an interception on his last play at DKR:

“It brought tears to my eyes to see Drew get that pick in his last play and game at Texas. It was amazing. It felt like I had a pick.”
