Q: Can you talk about the emotions after the game?

“A lot happened in that game. Coach Flood tells us all the time ‘games like this, there’ll be ups and downs. So you just have to stay focused. We did that, we just weren’t able to execute at the end of the game.”

Q: If this is your last game at Texas, can you summarize your experience?

“I’ve been playing with these guys on the team a long time. Obviously, stuff will be different next year with some leaving, transferring, and stuff like that. You always cherish every moment here.”

Q: Hearing some of the negativity, what is your overall assessment with Quinn Ewers and your relationship?

“Honestly, it comes from a different place with me because I know him so well. The work he puts in, the stuff he goes through, stuff he battles through just to play in the game. I’ve been here with him for three years ands he’s a real brother to me. You know what someone goes through on a daily basis, and some people just don’t understand.”

Q: What are you most proud of about this season at Texas?

“The most thing I’m proud of is how I finished these last few games, been through a lot of adversity, I have guys and coaches that are behind me. Regardless of what happened tonight, coach (Tashard) Choice instilling that confidence in me to make sure I keep going hard.”

Q: Were both your scores wheel routes?

“They were wheel routes. The first one, (Ohio State) was in man and I beat my guy one-on-one. The second one they blitzed, and I just got home.”

Tre Wisner

Q: What was your biggest takeaway from this season?

“I just wanted the guys to know I came in, bought into the process and tried to lead the younger guys. The older guys played that big brother role for me. They taught me a bunch of things during my time with them. Me just being able to relay the same love they relayed to me.”

Anthony Hill

Q: Can you walk through the 75-yard touchdown for OSU right before halftime?

“We just didn’t execute, and it caused a big touchdown. We wish we had it back, but we’re going to go back and watch the film, and just get better.”

Q: Ohio State came in with this high-powered offense, how do you feel like y’all did today?

“We’re an elite defense at the end of the day. We’re going to be an elite defense from here, moving forward. It’s going to be hard to score on us. We didn’t do anything different in our gameplan, we’re an elite defense and that’s our standard here now.”

Q: What was the message after the game in the locker room?

“Our standard is tough all day. So, we’re going to continue to say stuff, and we’ll look and move forward, and see what we did wrong, and try to get better going into next year.”

Q: What were your thoughts on the Texas contingent in the Cotton Bowl?

“It was just like we expected. I mean, we’re in Dallas, It’s Texas, this is our state, and that’s what we expected. It felt like a home game. I’m just so appreciative for Longhorn nation. Not just for showing up tonight. but for every time I stepped on the field.”
