When Steve Sarkisian will be speaking this week
Welcome to game week! The Texas Longhorns are now just five days away from battling the Colorado State Rams at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday inside what could be a scorching hot Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. To preview the game and address questions related to his team and his opponent, Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian will be available to the media multiple times this week.

Sarkisian will start the week off with his Monday press conference. That will begin at 11:30 a.m. with live coverage from Inside Texas on social media and on the Inside Texas Members Only message board. It will also be available on the new Longhorn Network. The link to watch the press conference on LHN is here.
Following Sarkisian’s 30-ish minute availability, a handful of Texas players will be made available to the press. Those updates will also be found on IT’s social media and on the Inside Texas Members Only message board.
There will be two other opportunities for the press to ask questions of Sarkisian ahead of game week. Now that the Longhorns are a part of the Southeastern Conference, Sarkisian will appear on the SEC Weekly Teleconference on Wednesdays. The call begins at 12:30 p.m..

Then on Thursday, Sarkisian will hold his customary Thursday post-practice Zoom as a final way for media members to learn of player’s availability or other final updates. That typically starts just after 11 a.m.
Sarkisian appeared on Longhorn Weekly last season, which was recorded at the Pluckers Wing Bar and Grill on Rio Grande St. near campus on Wednesday nights but aired on Thursday nights on Longhorn Network. While the original press release announcing the reimagined Longhorn Network said coaches’ shows like Longhorn Weekly would be available on the platform, details on the show’s air time for the 2024 season have not yet been released.
