Where Texas commits and targets were ranked in the latest 2024 On300

On3 updated the 2024 On300 on Monday, and several Longhorn commits and targets moved in the network’s list of prospects.

The highest ranked player currently in the 2024 class according to On3 is Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain cornerback Santana Wilson. A 93-rated prospect, Wilson is ranked as the No. 95 overall player in the 2024 class. He was previously the No. 90 player in the country.
The player who previously was the highest ranked in the class, IMG Academy running back Jerrick Gibson, dropped 74 spots to the No. 117 mark. His rating dropped from 95 to 93.
Newest commit and Daingerfield (Texas) athlete Aeryn Hampton was ranked as the No. 159 player in the country, a drop of 14 spots from his previous No. 145 ranking.
North Richland Hills (Texas) Richland offensive lineman Daniel Cruz dropped 21 spots from No. 150 to No. 171. He retained his 92 rating.
Duncanville (Texas) defensive lineman Alex January dropped 14 spots from No. 217 to No. 231.
San Antonio (Texas) Smithson Valley wide receiver Freddie Dubose Jr. dropped from No. 170 to No. 235 and was the last member of the class to make the On300.
Plenty of Longhorn recruiting targets were part of movement in the latest On300.
Five-star EDGE Colin Simmons moved up one spot to the No. 4 overall ranking. Just behind him was Micah Hudson, who moved from No. 9 to No. 8.
Louisiana targets Dominick McKinley and Wardell Mack were the subject of rankings changes. McKinley dropped three spots to the No. 17 position, just outside of five-star range. Mack moved from No. 28 to No. 19.
Timpson (Texas) athlete Terry Bussey dropped 21 spots from No. 16 to No. 37. His rating dipped by one to 96.
Offensive tackle target and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei product Brandon Baker moved down 10 spots from No. 30 to No. 40.
Waco (Texas) Connally cornerback Kobe Black moved to the No. 68 position after previously checking in at No. 51. Fellow defensive back Corian Gipson moved from the No. 67 position to No. 71.

Tulsa (Okla.) NOAH Homeschool EDGE Danny Okoye was another UT target who fell in the rankings. He went from No. 63 to No. 76.
Interior offensive lineman Blake Ivy, who is down to Texas, LSU, and Texas A&M, dropped from No. 78 to No. 91.
Wide receiver target Ryan Wingo remained ranked in the 90s, moving to the No. 97 position. Defensive line prospect Nigel Smith barely moved in the rankings, appearing as the No. 163 overall prospect.
Defensive back target Selman Bridges was one of the biggest sliders in the new rankings. Previously No. 69, On3 ranked him as the No. 199 prospect in the nation in the recent list.
There was a target who entered the rankings. Defensive lineman D’antre Robinson jumped into the On300 at the No. 272 spot.
One-time Texas commit Hunter Moddon slid from No. 121 to No. 278.
Some targets dropped out as well. Zina Umeozulu was previously ranked No. 192, but he fell entirely out of the On300.
Texas currently has the No. 17 class in the On3 team rankings, with seven prospects in the top 300 of the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
