Texas wide receiver recruiting with an eye towards roster needs

Not long after Langham Creek’s Jaquaize Pettaway committed to Oklahoma I made the grievous error of confiding in the board I wasn’t a huge fan of UT’s most likely receiver class. That class would be DeSoto’s Johntay Cook, Aldine Eisenhower’s Ryan Niblett, Spring Dekaney’s Jonah Wilson, and Longview’s Jalen Hale. Hale was no guarantee but at the time he was UT’s most likely fourth receiver as the one the staff was most focused on.
