2025 4-star WR Chris Lawson visits USC
USC hosted one of the top wide receivers in the state of California on Sunday. San Francisco (Cal.) Archbishop Riordan wide receiver Chris Lawson went to Twitter to show a photo from his visit today.
Lawson is the No. 183 overall prospect and No. 21 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 18 player in California.
This is Lawson’s first visit to USC. In fact, it’s the first visit Lawson has posted about publicly.
The Trojans offered Lawson, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, in December.
In 10 games played in 2023, Lawson reeled in 68 receptions for 969 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He led his team in all three categories. He averaged just under 100-yards per game.
Lawson holds offers from USC, Oregon, Utah, Penn State, Washington, California, Colorado, Oregon State, Washington State, Kansas, UNLV, UMASS, Colorado State, and Nevada.

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine
Following today’s visit, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine now has the USC Trojans as the favorite to land a commitment from Lawson at 53.0%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Lawson does not yet have a public On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
