2025 Five-star Plus+ DL Armondo Blount reports USC offer
It is a busy day for the USC staff as they continue to dish out offers, most of which are going to some of the top prospects in the nation. Miami (Fla.) Miami Central Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Armondo Blount reported a USC offer this afternoon.
Blount is the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
According to On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power, Blount has the versatility to play all across the defensive line.
“It’s hard to deny him not being one of the best prospects in the cycle when you see what he’s been able to do, what he’s measured, his growth potential,” Power said. “He’s a guy, who I think, has continued to grow. He’s around 6-foot-3.5 now, around 250 pounds. He’s got plus length and a big frame. Blount is highly athletic. He ran an electronic 4.78 in the 40-yard dash and I believe he is a state champion in the shot put. He’s a guy who is just twitchy. You see that on the field and he’s a great player on Friday night. I think he’ll continue to be a great player.”
On3 Scouting Evaluation
“Versatile, athletic defensive lineman who is capable of creating disruption from any spot on the defensive front. Looks like one of the more physically-gifted defenders early on in the 2025 cycle. Measured in at close to 6-foot-3.5, 250 pounds with a wing-span around 6-foot-9 and a 10-inch hand at Under Armour’s Miami camp prior to his junior season. Tests as an outstanding athlete, running an electronically-timed 4.78-second 40-yard dash, along with an impressive 30-inch vertical and 9’7” broad jump. “
“Has the size of a future defensive tackle but the athleticism and pass rush skills of a top EDGE prospect. Flashes a plus first-step and quick hands both on Friday nights and in camp settings. Turned in a dominant sophomore campaign at Miami Dillard, showing advanced pass rush skills as a stand up rusher. Lives in the backfield, using his athleticism, strong hands and instincts to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Also doubles as a top track and field athlete, with a personal best of 55-6 feet in the shot put. Remains to be seen where he’ll end up from a size perspective, adding to some ambiguity around his position long-term.”

RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Blount has an On3 NIL Valuation of $184K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
