4-Star Edge From California Set June 21-23 USC Official Visitor Weekend
Marco Jones was one of dozens of USC targets to make his way to campus for an unofficial visit in March, and it made quite an impression. The nation’s No. 154 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings came down from Northern California checking in right around 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds.
March was the second time Jones had seen USC’s campus and the trip made an impact.
Jones is coming back to USC for a third time and this visit carries significance because he’s using an official visit.
In March following the Trojans spring practice Jones told WeAreSC “Getting out there for a spring practice was awesome,” Jones said. “First day of pads, it was great seeing the coaches in their environment, being able to push the guys up. Just seeing how much passion all the guys have, the coaches, the players, have for the game. The practice was super energetic, so it was great to go out there and see that.”
With USC in the B1G Conference, competing for the best prospects against teams like Michigan will become commonplace, and with Jones fresh off his official visit to Michigan, the Trojans staff can make their case and show off the Trojan Family atmosphere.

Why USC Could Take The Lead
I mentioned that this will be Jones’s 3rd trip to USC’s campus. His first was in February when he and his 5v5 teammates spent part of their day competing together.–Jones, Noah Mikhail, and Madden Faraimo were all in Los Angeles with California Power Athletes for the Pylon 7v7 and 5v5 event at Baldwin Park HS. That’s when Jones got to meet the defensive staff for the first time.
“Just how stand up the coaches are and how much they’re trying to get the defense right,” said Jones. “Look at how many guys they hired on the defensive staff. They are all very intelligent and just straight up great defensive minds. Normally each coaching staff will have like a few of those, but not an entire coaching staff. I feel like, like they just have so much experience. Whether it’s coaching in the NFL or in college for a long time.”
Recruits like to feel the love and know where they stand, and in February it was clear to Jones that USC would be in it till the end. “Yes, sir, they made it clear that I’m a priority,” said Jones.
