4-Star Manor (TX) Running Back Quinten Joyner Commits to USC
USC lost RB Brandon Campbell to the NCAA Transfer Portal last month, but gained a running back for the future in 4-Star Quinten Joyner from Manor (TX).
Lincoln Riley threw up a commitment flare on Monday and Joyner announced his commitment on Twitter this morning. He told WeAreSC, “The coaching staff is awesome and I feel that they can get me ready for the next level.”
Joyner (5-10, 190) has offers from USC,Cincinnati, Houston, Indiana, Louisville, Marshall, Mississippi St., Nebraska, Oklahoma St., Oregon, Penn St., Pitt, Pursue, Rice, SMU, Syracuse, TCU, USA, Vanderbilt and Arkansas.
two weeks ago Joyner took an unofficial visit to USC on April 2 and followed that up with a visit to Oregon on April 9.
Clay Helton signed only one true high school running back the past two years with Brandon Campbell signing in 2021. Campbell signed with Houston earlier this month.
The Trojans did sign electrifying 2022 Mater Dei ATH Raleek Brown who’ll definitely line up in the backfield as a running back. Brown will also be used as a slot receiver in Lincoln Riley’s high-powered offense.
USC added Keaontay Ingram, Darwin Barlow, Travis Dye and Austin Jones from the NCAA Transfer Portal the last two of seasons. Ingram has entered the 2022 NFL Draft. Dye and Jones will exhaust their college eligibility this season.

Although we expect Riley to add another RB transfer this Spring, the Trojans could be left with two backs after the 2022 season.
Running Backs Coach Kiel McDonald will pursue at least two running backs from the 2023 recruiting class.
The Trojans plan to sign two running backs this cycle. The candidates to fill the second spot are Rueben Owens, Justice Haynes, Tre Wisner and Cedric Baxter Jr. All have said they may visit USC in the upcoming months.
Eric Nahlin of Inside Texas wrote this about Joyner.
“Manor is producing good prospects. Former TCU defensive end Ochaun Mathis is a household name in the region, Joyner is a sub-11.00 second 100m runner with big play ability.”
