4-star OT Manasse Itete decommits from USC
July continues to hit USC on the chin as the Trojans have lost a commitment from Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic four-star offensive tackle Manassee Itete. He went to Twitter to announce his decision.
The 6-foot-4.5, 290-pound is the No. 354 overall prospect and No. 24 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 31 player in California.
On3 rates Itete significantly higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, Itete is the No. 206 overall prospect in the country, the No. 19 offensive tackle and No. 16 player in California.
Itete was committed to USC for just under two months, originally committing on June 7.
His decision to open his recruitment comes as insiders around the industry are feeling that Florida State is now the team to beat in his recruitment.
Itete currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $52K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
