4-Star Texas RB A'Marion Peterson Commits to USC
Wichita Falls (Texas) Hirschi running back A’Marion Petersonnamed names his Top Five Schools in late February and USC made the cut. Not much was known about Peterson back in February, but his interest grew signicantly the following two months.
His strong interest in the Trojans led to an unofficial visit this weekend for the USC Spring Game. That visit led to his expected commitment announcment earlier today on Instagram.
Peterson is the No. 325 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 23 running back and the No. 53 junior in the state of Texas.
On3 is significantly higher on him than the rest of the recruiting industry, though, according to the Industry Comparison. In the most recent On300 rankings, Peterson was tabbed as the country’s No. 188 prospect, No. 9 running back and No. 31 player in Texas.

USC’s 2023 Recruiting Class
Peterson becomes public commitment No. 5 for the Trojans in the 2023 recruiting class, which ranks No. 1 in the nation.
Peterson is the second running back from the state of Texas to commit to USC in this class. He joins Quinten Joyner, who committed this past Tuesday.
All five commitments are on the offensive side of the ball so far. The group is led by Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Malachi Nelson, five-star wide receiver Zachariah Branch and four-star receiver Makai Lemon.
