Amid Maryland rumors, Trojans must keep Andy Enfield at USC

In the afterglow of the Trojans’ win over UCLA on Saturday at raucous and sold out Galen Center, this seems a good time to address the disturbing rumors that Maryland is interested in coach Andy Enfield to fill its open head coach position and that Enfield has some interest in the job. I must say up front that I have no non-public information as to whether any of this is accurate. It could be meaningless, but in Saturday’s post-game media conference, when Enfield was asked about the USC coaches dressing more casually than the UCLA staff, he mentioned that he checked with friends at Maryland and another school before making the decision for this season.
