Boogie Ellis, Isaiah Collier lead USC to win in first game of summer tour
Boogie Ellis and Isaiah Collier helped get the USC Trojans off to a winning start on their foreign summer tour that will see them play three games in Greece and Croatia.
USC posted a 76-73 win against Serbian professional team Mega MIS in Mykonos, Greece on Wednesday. Ellis finished with 25 points. Collier, the nation’s No. 1 recruit and a true freshman expected to make a huge impact for the Trojans this season, finished with 20 points and six assists.
Ellis and Collier started in the backcourt for the Trojans and were joined by Kobe Johnson. D.J. Rodman and Joshua Morgan rounded out the starting five for USC. It was a tight game throughout and USC trailed 66-63 with just under five minutes remaining before coming back for the win.

This is the first time the NBA has televised a collegiate foreign tour. Isaiah Collier is widely expected to be selected within the first few picks of the 2024 NBA Draft.
USC’s Summer Tour
Programs are allowed by the NCAA to take a summer foreign tour every four years. This one should be especially helpful as Isaiah Collier and the other new pieces for USC will be able to get game experience together.
The team will also do plenty away from the court together. The 2019 USC team took its summer tour to Barcelona, Cannes and Paris and said afterward the extra time together traveling helped build an early bond. According to USC, this tour will also include “a sight-seeing bus tour of Athens, a visit to the Acropolis and Parthenon, a stop at Nammos Village and a walking tour of Old Town Dubrovnik which includes stops at popular Game of Thrones landmarks and the famous Walls of Dubrovnik and finally a boat trip to Saint Pietro Island.”
