BREAKING: 2024 Pennsylvania DL Deyvid Palepale commits to USC
USC has landed a commitment from Landisville (Pa.) Hempfield defensive lineman Deyvid Palepale.
Palepale is the No. 723 overall prospect and No. 66 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 21 player in Pennsylvania.
On3 ranks Palepale higher than the industry ranking, being slotted as the No. 49 defensive lineman in the 2024 class.
Palepale is the 17th commitment in USC’s 2024 class. He is the eighth commit defensive on the defensive side of the ball.
The Pennsylvania native was long favored to commit to either Penn State or Michigan, but after his official visit to USC on June 23, the Trojans took the lead in his recruitment. He took official visits to both Michigan and Penn State.

His offers are from USC, Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Notre Dame, Tennessee, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Auburn, Miami, Wisconsin, Colorado, Rutgers, Louisville, Rutgers, Temple, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Kentucky, Washington, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, UNLV, Charlotte, and Virginia Tech.
First DL in the class for USC
Palepale is the first traditional defensive line commitment in the 2024 class for USC. At 6-foot-2, 305 pounds, Palepale projects to play on the interior defensive line. The Trojans do hold a commitment from Atlanta (Ga.) Washington four-star Kameryn Fountain, who projects as an outside linebacker, edge rusher type of prospect.
Palepale is the first a handful of defensive lineman that are likely to end up this 2024 class fo the Trojans.
