Kameryn Fountain

USC landed yet another commitment, this one coming from Atlanta (Ga.) Washington four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain, he announced on Twitter.

Fountain is the No. 146 overall prospect and No. 7 edge rusher in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 25 player in Georgia.

Fountain becomes the fourth commitment out of the official visitors group this weekend in Los Angeles, joining Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star cornerback Dakoda Fields, Clearwater (Fla.) four-star safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr., and Englewood (CO) Cherry Creek three-star offensive lineman Hayden Treter.

Rising up the ranks

Fountain’s commitment moves USC up the 2024 class rankings, up to No. 14.

The Trojans class now sits at a score of 90.126, right behind Arkansas, who has a score of 90.278.

The class ranks as the No. 4 class in the Big 10 conference.

On3 NIL Valuation for Fountain

Fountain has an On3 NIL Valuation of $99K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

More on the current class for USC

To date, the six other commitments in the 2024 class are Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star cornerback Dakoda Fields, Los Angeles (Cal.) Sierra Canyon four-star Xavier Jordan, Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge four-star tight end Joey Olsen, Clearwater (Fla.) four-star safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr., McKinney (Tex.) three-star running back Bryan Jackson, and Englewood (CO) Cherry Creek three-star offensive lineman Hayden Treter.

Also, as of right now, there are 16 prospects in the class of 2024 who are currently favored in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land with USC. A good portion of them visited USC this spring and/or are planning official visits in the summer.

The Trojans are currently set to host more than 30 official visitors in the month of June, primarily scheduled for two major visit weekends. The staff will hope for similar success as last cycle when they landed 10+ of their June official visitors.

USC finished the 2023 class ranked inside the top-10 and Lincoln Riley and staff have started off on the right foot with an opportunity to repeat that feat in the 2024 class.
