BREAKING: Five-star DL Justus Terry flips commitment from Georgia to USC
Five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry has flipped his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs to the USC Trojans during an unofficial visit to the USC campus. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Terry is the nation’s No. 8 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings and represents the first massive recruiting win for new USC defensive line coach Eric Henderson.
USC head coach Lincoln Riley hired Henderson to coach and develop USC’s defensive line and generate excitement among the recruits. Both are starting to come to fruition as Terry used an unofficial visit to USC on a rainy Saturday morning to watch Eric Henderson develop his group of defensive linemen.
This was a significant recruiting weekend for the Trojans as USC coaches hosted some of the premier football recruits in the nation. The USC staff welcomed Terry, Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Elijah Griffin from Savannah (GA), four-star Isaiah Gibson from Warner Robbins (GA), four-star DL Landon Rink from Cypress (TX), four-star DL Dilan Battle from Arlington (TX) and Edge Justin Hill from Cincinnati (OH) will also take unofficial visits. These are just the defensive linemen.

Coach Henderson has a lot of knowledge when it comes to defensive line development, and he knows some pretty good ones too.
Terry was committed to the Georgia Bulldogs when he took an unofficial visit to FSU a couple of weeks ago, afterward he spoke with ON3’s Chad Simmons about what’s next. “I am strong with Georgia, but I will take my visits,” Terry told On3’s Chad Simmons in February. “Georgia tells me to go out, explore other options, and come back to Athens any time I want because they will always be there.–Georgia is the school I am committed to and nothing has changed with that. I will take some official visits in the summer, I am still working on dates, but I think schools like Alabama and Georgia will get one for sure, as well as maybe Florida State, USC and some others.”
