Floyd Boucard

Back in July, Miami (Fla.) Miami Central three-star defensive lineman Floyd Boucard committed to Oklahoma after he got a “gut feeling” about the SEC program. AlabamaMiami and USC all made strong pushes for Boucard, but he felt best about Oklahoma and committed to head coach Brent Venables and his staff.

About two weeks Boucard announced he’d decommitted from the Sooners and opened up his recruitment, he announced his commitment to USC following a recent unofficial visit.

“They create Heisman winners and big dogs come out of that school,” said Boucard. “Coach Henny (Eric Henderson) has NFL experience, he’s won a Super Bowl and he could do big things with defensive linemen there.”

He had plans at one time to take a Florida official visit and plans to hit up Miami when the Canes played Ball State, but we believe USC may be the team to watch for the 6-2.5 and 315 pounder.

We submitted a USC prediction for Boucard right after he announced he’d reopened his recruitment. Steve Wiltfong had also submitted a USC prediction.

Boucard said USC made a big impression on his official visit and had former Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald personally call him during the trip and offer to train him if Boucard ends up in Los Angeles.
