BREAKING: Top-100 WR Ryan Pellum commits to USC
USC has added another elite offensive playmaker to their future as Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan four-star wide receiver Ryan Pellum has committed to USC.
Pellum chose the Trojans over the Oregon Ducks as the two finalists in his recruitment.
The 5-foot-11, 169-pound pass-catcher is the No. 92 overall prospect and No. 16 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in California.
Pellum becomes the 13th commit for USC in the 2024 class. He is the second wide receiver in the class to date, joining four-star and fellow top-100 prospect Xavier Jordan.
This summer, Pellum took an official visit to USC (June 15) and was scheduled to visit Oregon (June 23) but canceled the visit after his time in Los Angeles.
In the days leading up to his announcement, USC emerged as the leader in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with four expert predictions, including from WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader and Marshall Levenson on June 20.

Lincoln has a new elite playmaker
Pellum, while not all that big, was going to be a big play threat in any offense he ended up in. But especially being in a Lincoln Riley offense, his production can be next level.
As a junior in 2022, Pellum hauled in 58 receptions for 1,028 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
He averaged 114 yards per game and just shy of 20 yards per reception.
USC loading up on local talent
This commitment from Pellum gives USC five commitments in the top-100 industry rankings. Four of them are from the greater Los Angeles area. Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco four-star cornerback Marcelles Williams, Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star cornerback Dakoda Fields, Los Angeles (Cal.) Sierra Canyon four-star Xavier Jordan, and now Ryan Pellum are all committed to the Trojans.

Pellum holds offers from USC, Oregon, Nebraska, Ohio State, LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Florida State, Arkansas, Auburn, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Colorado, Miami, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Texas, UCLA, Purdue, Kansas, Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan State, BYU, Florida Atlantic, Oregon State, California, Utah, Washington State, Fresno State, Cal Poly, Nevade, San Jose State, and Marshall.
On3 NIL Valuation
Ryan Pellum currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $112K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
