BREAKING: USC lands commitment from Colorado OL Hayden Treter
USC has landed their first offensive lineman of the 2024 cycle as Englewood (CO) Cherry Creek Hayden Treter has announced his pledge to the Trojans.
Treter went to Twitter to announce the news after arriving home from his official visit to USC this weekend.
Treter ranks as the No. 1195 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 96 interior offensive lineman and the No. 5 player in the state of Colorado.
Treter becomes the fourth commitment for USC in the 2024 cycle.
Treter saw him recruiting stock skyrocket in recent months, earning offers from USC, Oregon, Arizona State, Tennessee, Purdue, California, and others.
Why USC for Treter?
WeAreSC spoke with Treter shortly after making his decision.
“Everyone here made it feel like home. The people are amazing in all places, honesty, football, and genuine kindness. There’s a big family here and everyone is here to do the same thing and that’s win. I have every tool I need to succeed.”
A deeper connection with USC
When Treter earned the offer from the Trojans this spring, it was one that struck a cord for him emotionally.
“The USC offer was a really cool one to get,” Treter said previously. “I have an uncle who recently passed away from cancer who actually went to USC. So USC has actually been a big part of my life recently.”

More on the current class for USC
To date, the three other commitments in the 2024 class are Los Angeles (Cal.) Sierra Canyon four-star Xavier Jordan, Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge four-star tight end Joey Olsen, and McKinney (Tex.) three-star running back Bryan Jackson.
Also, as of right now, there are more than 20 prospects in the class of 2024 who are currently favored in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land with USC. A good portion of them visited USC this spring and/or are planning official visits in the summer.
The Trojans are currently set to host 35 official visitors in the month of June, primarily scheduled for two major visit weekends. The staff will hope for similar success as last cycle when they landed more than 10 of their June official visitors.
USC finished the 2023 class ranked inside the top-10 and Lincoln Riley and staff have started off on the right foot with an opportunity to repeat that feat in the 2024 class.
