Brenden Rice accepts Senior Bowl Invite
USC wide receiver Brenden Rice announced Wednesday that he has accepted an invite to play in the Reese’s Senior Bowl, which would send him off to the 2024 NFL Draft.
Rice is listed as a senior but did have one year of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound receiver led the Trojans with 12 touchdown receptions this season. That’s the most for a USC receiver since Nelson Agholor also caught 12 during the 2014 season. Rice finished the regular season with 45 receptions for 791 yards.
Rice spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons at Colorado before coming to USC via the transfer portal ahead of the 2022 season. That year, he caught 39 passes for 611 yards and four touchdowns.
Rice was one of 14 USC Trojans on the initial Senior Bowl Watch List released before the season. USC running back MarShawn Lloyd was named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl Midseason All-America Team. Rice caught the eye of Senior Bowl scouts early this year with some impressive speed numbers.

Alabama LB announces plan to transfer
The Senior Bowl will be played on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the University of South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium. It will be televised on NFL Network at 10 am PT.
Rice is the first of several Trojans with eligibility remaining to indirectly announce he won’t return to USC next season. All eyes will be on quarterback Caleb Williams and the likely announcement that he, too, will enter the upcoming draft.
Trojans’ wide receiver Tahj Washington, offensive tackle Jonah Monheim, safety Calen Bullock and Lloyd are some more USC players to monitor this offseason.
