Caleb Williams named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week
USC quarterback Caleb Williams was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week following his outstanding performance in a 48-41 win against the Colorado Buffaloes.
Williams tied his career high with six touchdown passes against Colorado. He was 30-for-40 passing for 403 yards and added 12 rushing yards. The Trojans scored seven touchdowns on their first 10 full drives of the game. It’s the first Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award for Williams as the conference continues to showcase the unmatched talent and depth at the position. Through five weeks, five different quarterbacks have won the award.
Williams won it twice in 2022.
The USC quarterback is coming off a Heisman Trophy winning season in 2022 and has been even better through five games of the 2023 season. He’s completed 75.5% of his passes for 1,603 yards and 21 touchdowns against just one interception. Williams has also scored three rushing touchdowns and leads the nation in total touchdowns.
