Jarvis Boatwright Jr.

One of the lesser talked about commitments in USC’s 2024 class among the masses has been Clearwater (Fla.) safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr.

WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader did give the latest on Boatwright earlier this month on his thoughts on USC and his recruitment.

Even before his commitment, there had not been much discussion on Boatwright’s recruitment. He was one of the many June pledges for the Trojans. Since his commitment, Boatwright has had a really nice senior season, so I wanted to lay out what he has done this season.

Boatwright has primarily been playing safety for his Clearwater squad. And from that safety spot, he has managed to be the most productive playmaker on the defensive side of the ball.

In nine games played this season, Boatwright has a team leading 69 tackles, 39 of which have some in solo fashion.

That amount of tackles tells us the 6-foot-2, 180 pound defensive back is active around the line of scrimmage and puts himself in position to make plays on a consistent basis.

On the back end of the defense, Boatwright is also making plays, with six passes defended. He also has one fumble recovery that he returned for a full 100-yards.

Boatwright had three more official visits set for after USC in the summer. He was scheduled to visit South Carolina on June 9, Tennessee on June 16, and Florida State on June 23 but canceled all three visits and shut down his recruitment.

He is the No. 531 overall prospect and No. 52 Safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 65 player in Florida.

On3 NIL Valuation for Boatwright

Boatwright Jr. has an On3 NIL Valuation of $29K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV).
