USC Offered one of the Top rising juniors Dakoda Fields today. The Trojans also offered 2024 teammate Jason Mitchell II. Both were also hanging out with 2023 USC Cornerback Target Rodrick Pleasant.

“After touring the school and spending the day with Coach (Donte)Williams and Coach (Alex) Grinch; Coach Williams pulled me to the side and offered,” said Fields.”It’s a blessing to be offered by my hometown school. Had a great time today the energy at SC is amazing. I’m excited to continue my high school and recruiting journey and building a relationship with the USC coaches.”

We were introduced to talented 2024 Serra CB Dakoda Fields year ago during the CovId-19 delayed and shortened 2020 prep football season. The season was played last Spring. While the Serra and Alemany were warming up, Coach Marvin Pollard told me to keep an eye on Pleasant and Fields.

Pollard played at USC and so did his son CJ Pollard. Now Pollard is in law enforcement and the defensive backs coach at his Gardena (CA) Serra. So, when Marv tells me to keep an eye on a player, I do.

Although Fields didn’t stand out a year ago vs Alemany, we saw him again in November when the Cavaliers played Long Beach Poly. He definitely stood out against Poly and made several huge plays, including a Touchdown saving Interception.

WeAre will catch up with Fields later this month at Serra and talk about his USC offer. As of today, Fields has offers from the Trojans, Oregon, Arizona, Utah St., and San Jose St.
