Dallas CB William Nettles Planning to Visit USC
2024 Dallas (Tex.) Christian defensive back William Nettles is one of the area’s top overall athletes. He showed in March why his offer list is growing at Battle Miami and Dallas Under Armour Next Camp
“It went good. We started off slow, but have to get that momentum built and from there, we went sky high,” Nettles told On3. “There’s still a lot to improve on, but little by little, brick by brick. I got me a touchdown and locking up on D.”
Recruiting continues to pick up for Nettles, who’s visited SMU the most out of any program recruiting him. As of April 18, Nettles has offers from USC, Ole Miss, Baylor, Kansas, Nebraska, Purdue, SMU and many others.
“Going good, trying to stay humble about it all,” he said. “Trying to keep in contact with all the coaches as best I can and build a good relationship. Lately, a lot of Baylor, USC, a lot of SMU, a lot of Purdue since coach Carter went there since it’s the same coaches that offered me.”
Upcoming Visits
SMU will host Nettles for an official visit on June 23 while Purdue will host him June 16.
Duke, USC, Baylor and Kansas are among the other programs involved with Nettles. The Mustangs lead the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Nettles. Nettles told WeAreSC on Tuesday he plans to get to Los Angeles to visit USC.

“We will be on a USC visit really soon,” said Nettles.
When the Spring and Summer visits are over, Nettles may make a summer school decision. He shared what’s important to him in a football program.
“Relationship, culture, coaches that trust me and I can trust,” Nettles said of his recruiting priorities. “Who is going to get me on the field and develop to get to the next level.”
On3 rates William Nettles as an 89, making him the No. 49 overall cornerback in the nation and No. 68 overall prospect in Texas.
