Drake London won’t take part in on-field testing at the NFL Combine, meaning his measurements will be the only tangible data NFL teams will be able to collect this week on the standout USC receiver.

On Thursday, London checked in with the rest of the wide receivers.

Here were the measurements:

Height: 6037
Weight: 219
Arm: 33 inches
Hand: 9 3/8
Wingspan: 77 3/4

London was listed at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds at USC, so he’s a little more than an inch shorter than that and nine pounds heavier. His NFL.com Draft Profile lists him at 6-foot-4. None of these are numbers that should scare NFL teams away from taking him in the top half of the first round and potentially the first receiver off the board.

The NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah has compared London to former Clemson and current San Diego Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams.

Williams’ Combine measurement numbers are nearly identical to London’s. He was 6-foot-4, 218 pounds with 33 3/8″ arms and 9 3/8″ hands. Williams ran the 40-yard dash at Clemson’s Pro Day in 4.49 seconds and was taken with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2017 draft.

London hopes to run at USC’s Pro Day, which does not have a date scheduled at this point. He said he began running just last week and needs about “15 more percent” to get to feeling 100% healthy.

More London Comparisons

In addition to Jeremiah going with the Mike Williams comparison, there have been at least a half dozen NFL wide receivers to whom London has drawn comparisons.

During the interview period on Wednesday, London touched on just about all of them.

He said he’s watched video of Calvin Ridley (Falcons) and Amari Cooper (Cowboys). Calvin Johnson and Mike Evans have been longtime comparisons for London. And the Packers’ Davante Adams is being brought up more and more. London went through the whole Rolodex of names.

London’s Potential Landing Spots

His 40 and shuttles times might wind up being extremely important for London. But as long as he posts a respectable time, teams will line up for him based on his outstanding film.

London said on Wednesday that he’s met with both the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles to this point. The Falcons select at No. 8. There are reports that wide receiver Calvin Ridley could be a trade possibility and the Falcons could use another receiver to pair with standout tight end Kyle Pitts. The Eagles select at both Nos. 15 and 16. They used their first pick last year on wide receiver DeVonta Smith, but could continue adding offensive pieces around quarterback Jalen Hurts.

On his NFL.com Draft Profile, an AFC area scout offered this take on London:

“I think he is going to test better than people think but I doubt he runs. I don’t care how fast he is, I wouldn’t be against him because his ball skills are really special.”

London is looking to become the first USC wide receiver selected in the first round of the NFL Draft since Nelson Agholor in 2015.
