Elite 5-Star WR Zachariah Branch Commits To USC - What The Trojans Are Getting
Anyone who’s seen 5-Star Las Vegas (NV) WR Zachariah Branch play football in any environment, knows he’s one of the most electrifying athletes in the country.
He’s one of those dudes who challenges Elite defenders in ways the vast majority of offensive ballers can’t.
A bit after 1pm PT on Christmas Eve Branch announced his commitment to USC. He’s the third 2023 5-Star Commit for the Trojans. Branch joins QB Malachi Nelson, WR Makai Lemon and RB Johnny Thompson as the fourth overall commit.
Shortly after his All-American Safety brother Zion Branch signed with USC on Dec. 15, Zachariah shared with WeAreSC why the Trojan were also his choice.
Branch will beat defenders deep, he’s a dangerous pass-catching threat out of the backfield and he’ll also score touchdowns with simply handing the ball off to him. He’s a dude you just give the damn ball to.

Much like a Jaylen Waddle who ran some of the filthiest routes I’ve seen from a prep baller, Branch is that type of receiver…with a solid helping of DeVonta Smith added in. No disrespect to Trojan Amon-Ra St Brown who ran ridiculous routes from the slot while at USC.
And Branch won’t just play football at the school he chooses on Christmas Eve Friday, he’ll run track. He hopes the school he chooses will not only develop him into an First-Round NFL Draft pick, but another goal is to earn a spot on the U.S. Olympic Track team.
What makes his goals unique is he actually has a very good shot at achieving them. I know I’d never doubt one of the Branches with their lofty expectations. Their work ethic and dedication to their craft is exceptionally impressive. It’s in their DNA.
