Offensive guard Emmanuel Pregnon has accepted an invitation to participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl all-star game following the 2024 season, likely signaling his eventual entry into the 2025 NFL Draft.

Pregnon has been USC’s most consistent offensive lineman this season and has shown tremendous improvement in his second year with the Trojans.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound lineman came to USC as one of the big additions out of the 2023 spring transfer portal. He began his college career at Wyoming, sitting out the 2020 season and redshirting in 2021. Pregnon then moved into the starting lineup at right guard for the Cowboys in 2022 and earned Freshman All-America recognition by PFF.

Upon arriving at USC, Pregnon was flipped from right guard to left guard and entered the starting lineup for Game 2 of the 2023 season. After struggling a bit early, Pregnon seemed to catch his footing and improved throughout the year. This year, he hit the ground running with a solid performance against LSU and has been a pretty consistent bright spot for a line that struggled early but has been better of late.

Pregnon does have one year of eligibility remaining, but this all-star game acceptance would seem to double as an announcement that he will not utilize his available sixth year. If that plan goes through, it would be a giant hit to the interior of the USC offensive line that is already set to lose center Jonah Monheim.
