Five-star WR Jerome Myles decommits from USC
The USC Trojans lost a major commitment from their 2025 recruiting class on Sunday as five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles announced he had pulled his pledge back from Lincoln Riley’s program.
Myles is the nation’s No. 24 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking and No. 39 in the 2025 On3 Ranking. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound receiver made the announcement on his Instagram page, saying “After talking with my family and god I’ve decided to decommit from the University of Southern California.”
Myles joined the USC recruiting class with a commitment on September 18. He’d previously been committed to Ole Miss. Now, Texas A&M looks to be in the driver’s seat as Myles was on a visit to College Station this weekend. It would finish off an interesting trade as USC flipped 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet from the Aggies late in the process and now Texas A&M looks to be returning the favor with another 5-star recruit.
The move leaves the Trojans still with three wide receiver commitments in the 2025 class in four-star Corey Simms, four-star Tanook Hines and three-star Romero Ison.

It’s the second year in a row USC has lost a highly-regarded wide receiver prospect late in the process. Last year, four-star receiver Ryan Pellum flipped from USC to Oregon on signing day.
Jerome Myles On3 Scouting Summary
“The most athletically-gifted wide receiver in the 2025 cycle. An athletic marvel of a prospect with a unique combination of elite size, athleticism and skill but has missed large chunks of his prep career with injuries. Measured in at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds prior to his senior season. One of the fastest prospects in the 2025 cycle. Posted absolutely scintillating marks in the 100 meters (10.36) and 200 meters (20.84) as a junior en route to state titles in both events. Broke a long-standing state record in the 100 meters. Carries that athleticism over to the field. Looked like a five-star talent at the beginning of his senior season, lighting up powerhouse IMG Academy for multiple touchdowns.
…Capable of winning in every area of the field. Myles the speed to blow by defenders as a deep threat. Torched one-on-one coverage as an outside target. Draws safety attention with his mere presence. Has a solid release package and easily stacks corners off the line of scrimmage. Shows very good ball tracking ability. Strong hands at the catch point. Has the ability to win in jump ball situations. Flashed outstanding physicality and ability to pick up yardage after the catch as a senior.”
