The back-and-forth recruiting blows between the USC Trojans and Georgia Bulldogs continued this week as Class of 2026 four-star cornerback Dominick Kelly announced a commitment flip from USC to Georgia on Monday.

Kelly, the nation’s No. 170 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, initially committed to USC in March as part of a huge spring recruiting run for the Trojans. At that time, USC also flipped five-star defensive tackle Justus Terry from his Georgia commitment and landed a commitment from five-star edge Isaiah Gibson, one of Georgia’s top targets. Since then, Gibson and now Kelly have flipped their commitments to Georgia. Terry announced a decommitment from USC with Georgia as the presumed favorite.

USC does still have a couple of wins. Standout quarterback Julian Lewis was a top target for the in-state Bulldogs, but USC and Lincoln Riley were able to earn a commitment. And the Trojans just landed a commitment from Class of 2026 four-star linebacker Xavier Griffin out of Gainesville, Georgia.

There are some coaching connections involved in this flip as well. It’s a win for Georgia cornerbacks coach Donte Williams over his former program. And Kelly’s interest in USC was first piqued by then-high school coach Mike Williams, who is now USC’s Director of Player Development.

The Trojans now hold the No. 5 recruiting class in 2026. It’s led by Griffin, the No. 27 overall prospect. Local cornerback Brandon Lockhart is another big piece, checking in as the No. 36 overall recruit in his class. Wide receiver Ja’Myron Baker and defensive back Madden Riordan round out the four-man class.
