The USC Trojans continued to add to their No. 1-ranked 2026 recruiting class as four-star wide receiver Trent Mosley announced his commitment to Lincoln Riley’s program.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound receiver is the nation’s No. 180 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking and the No. 22 player in California.

Mosley has had a strong three-year high school career to this point at Santa Margarita. He was named the Trinity League Player of the Year for his sophomore season in 2023. That year, he caught 81 passes for 1,282 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also rushed for 270 yards and 15 touchdowns. As a junior this past fall, Mosley caught 61 passes for 908 yards and eight touchdowns despite missing four games due to injury. He rushed for 102 yards and seven more touchdowns, and also returned a punt 66 yards for a touchdown.

He’s a talented slot receiver with exceptional feel and ability after the catch. He won’t wow with his frame, but he’s just a football player who catches everything thrown at him, has real game speed and does everything well at that position.

This isn’t just big for USC on the field, it also gives the Trojans some bragging rights on the trail considering Mosley is a double Notre Dame legacy. His father, Emmett Mosley IV, played football for head coach Lou Holtz at Notre Dame from 1993-1996. His mother, Cindy Daws (Mosley) won the Hermann Trophy for Notre Dame in 1996 as the nation’s most outstanding female soccer player. The Trojans also extended an offer recently to younger brother Grant Mosley, a wide receiver in the 2028 recruiting class.

Mosley joins edge rusher Simote Katoanga as two recent commitments from Santa Margarita to USC as the Trojans push to lock down the Southern California region. He’s the first four-star wide receiver commitment for USC in this class and joins Ja’Myron Baker as the two 2026 receiver commits for the Trojans to this point.
