Top-100 WR Dre'lon Miller names Top 9, USC makes the cut

Silsbee (Texas) four-star wide receiver Dre’lon Miller has taken the next step in his recruitment today, releasing a top list, consisting of nine schools. As expected by many in Los Angeles, Miller named USC in his list.
The full list is USC, Tennessee, LSU, Texas A&M, Duke, Florida, Miami, Georgia, and Penn State.
Miller spoke to On3’s Hayes Fawcett to get the details on why each school made the cut. Here is what he said on why he is high on the Trojans.
“[USC] has the best offensive coach in the country and the way they throw the ball and put players in positions to be the best.”
Miller is the No. 78 overall prospect and No. 16 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 14 player in Texas.
Upcoming visits for Miller
Miller is fresh off of an unofficial visit to USC on June 8, his first to time to see the Trojans.
Now, with his interest rising in what the Trojans have going on, Miller told me last week he will take an official visit to USC in June. He has not finalized a date, but it is expected to be one of his first official visits. As of right now, he does not have others scheduled.
LSU, Texas A&M, and Florida are three programs trending to land an official visit, with USC now confirmed to receive one.
Miller’s commitment is coming this summer
Miller is a little more than two months away from announcing his college destination. He shared this past Thursday that he will be committing on June 29.

What to know about Dre’lon Miller
After racking up 15 touchdowns as a sophomore, Miller had an unforgettable junior season. He recorded 1,399 yards of total offense, 21 touchdown catches, 361 yards rushing and also made an impact on special teams for Silsbee (Texas) High School. “Dre’lon is just a really good kid,” Silsbee coach Randy Smith told 12 News.
“I mean great kid. He’s prepared himself for this moment. We know he’s a special player. Obviously, we try to find ways to get him the ball, and he takes over games for us. He’s that leader for us. But I don’t think we’ve seen his ceiling. I think he’s one of those kids that the sky’s the limit for what he can do. I think with the attention he’s getting, he’s as good as any player in the country.” Away from football, Miller enjoys playing basketball. He plans on majoring in kinesiology in college. His parents are Tonia and Chris Miller.
