Game Time, Channel Set for USC's Key Clash at Utah
The preseason Pac-12 game of the year officially has a start time as USC’s marquee matchup at Utah on October 15 will kick off at 5:00 pm PT/6:00 pm MT. The game between the Trojans and Utes will air on FOX.
Utah and USC received the most and second-most preseason first-place votes from voting media members and have largely lived up to that.
USC is ranked No. 6 in the country after a 5-0 start. Utah began its season with a close loss to Florida in Gainesville but is now 4-1 and ranked No. 11 in the country.
The Trojans broke a three-game losing streak in Salt Lake City during the 2020 season. It was the first game of a Covid-shortened season for Utah and the Utes turned the ball over five times. These teams are 4-4 against each other over the past eight contests and Utah posted a decisive, 42-26 victory in the Coliseum last season.
Utah and USC both have conference wins against Arizona State and Oregon State this season, though the victories for the Utes were far more decisive. Utah beat Arizona State 34-13 and took care of Oregon State 42-16 this past weekend.

Challenges for Each Up First
It will be a huge Pac-12 matchup if it is indeed a battle of an undefeated USC against a one-loss Utah. But both programs face challenges this weekend first.
USC hosts a Washington State team that probably should have come away with a win against Oregon two weeks ago and then bounced back with a decisive win against Cal this past Saturday. The Cougars are led by quarterback Cameron Ward, a quartet of standout wide receivers and one of the nation’s top linebackers in Daiyan Henley.
Utah will have an opportunity to claim ownership of Los Angeles over the next two weeks. The Utes travel to Pasadena this weekend to take on the 5-0 UCLA Bruins. Utah is riding a five-game winning streak against UCLA.
