Game Time Set for USC - Notre Dame
USC’s regular season finale against Notre Dame on Saturday, November 26 will kick off at 4:30 pm PT and air live on ABC.
USC could know its conference fate by then, as a win this weekend against UCLA guarantees the Trojans a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game. Two wins in the Trojans’ rivalry games will keep USC very much alive in the race for a College Football Playoff spot.
Outside of any conference race or national champion, the game on November 26 against Notre Dame has plenty of importance on its own. The Fighting Irish are riding a four-game winning streak against the Trojans and are 7-2 against USC over the last decade.
Notre Dame is No. 20 in the College Football Playoff rankings with a 7-3 record. But the Irish will likely move up after it posted a 35-32 win against Navy this past weekend and teams ahead of it suffered losses.
It’s been an up-and-down season for the Fighting Irish.
Notre Dame started the year with a 21-10 loss to Ohio State that went down as a fairly good loss for the Fighting Irish considering what was expected of the Buckeyes this season. Notre Dame also has good, decisive wins against Clemson, North Carolina and Syracuse. But the Fighting Irish lost at home to Marshall and Stanford and got a lucky break from the officials in a close home win against Cal. Notre Dame will host Boston College this weekend before traveling to USC the following week.

The 2021 Notre Dame – USC Game
Notre Dame posted a 31-16 win against USC last year in South Bend. The Trojans cut a 24-3 Irish lead down to 24-16 with two fourth-quarter touchdowns sandwiched around a key interception by cornerback Chris Steele.
But USC could not stop a final Notre Dame touchdown drive, aided by 30 yards in penalties by the Trojans.
USC running back Keaontay Ingram finished with 138 rushing yards and a touchdown. Trojans’ wide receiver Drake London had 15 receptions for 171 yards. But Notre Dame running back Kyren Williams rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns and the Trojans couldn’t take advantage of numerous scoring opportunities.
Quarterback Kedon Slovis threw a redzone interception on USC’s second drive of the game. The Trojans allowed the first half clock to expire rather than attempt a throw into the endzone or a long field goal. And USC missed a 42-yard field goal on its first drive of the second half.
