In fact, some of Troy’s greatest players have come from outside the state no matter the Trojans head coach. In the modern era starting with the legendary John McKay and even to the depressing depths of the Clay Helton fiasco, USC has had success recruiting players outside the Golden State. Now again, we're starting to see out-of-state recruiting success under current Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley. So, with that momentum in mind, let’s take an historical look at the out-of-state recruiting from each of the modern era USC head football coaches regarding blue chip recruits signed that developed into Trojan Americans.
