IMHO Sunday: Underdog Rice Owls will be a hoot

In my humble opinion, cardinal and gold thoughts on what I see, what I hear, and what I think from Los Angeles: Who gives a hoot: I get it, other than the fact the Rice Owls, who opened a whopping 34-point underdog to the Trojans, are both the first game of the 2022 USC football season and Lincoln Riley’s reportedly 10-year, $110,000,000 million dollar contract, who gives a Rice hoot about the Owls on Sept. 3 in the Coliseum? Well, not so fast my cardinal and gold friends, there is some upcoming Rice intrigue, trust me. Who gives a hoot – Part 2: Everybody knows that the Trojans have had six Heisman Trophy winners. However, Mr. Know-It-All, did you know that all those Heisman Trophies, given to the nation’s best college football player, is named after John Heisman, who was once the head football coach at Rice (1924-1927)?
