The USC Trojans have their two quarterbacks in the 2021 class, as four-star prospect Miller Moss was officially announced by the school early Wednesday morning and fellow four-star prospect Jaxson Dart announced his commitment in a signing day ceremony on ESPN2.
Dart was one of the nation’s biggest risers this season, as he put together an outstanding senior season in leading his Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon team to a 14-0 record.
Dart threw for 4,691 yards and 67 touchdowns against just four interceptions, while rushing for 1,195 yards and 12 scores on the ground.
He’s a dynamic athlete at the quarterback position and finished his senior season as the No. 103 prospect in the country after entering it unranked. He chose USC over finalists in Arizona State, BYU and UCLA. It’s a big blow to the Bruins, who were after Dart hard in this class.

After his commitment, Dart said he was able to build a strong connection with the USC coaches despite not being able to have any face to face interactions, and it’s clear that Dart sees himself succeeding in this USC Air Raid attack.
“I’m super excited to play in an offense that spins the rock,” he said following his commitment.
Now begins the quarterback competition between Dart and Moss, as both will enter with their sights set on replacing Kedon Slovis whenever Slovis decides to leave for the NFL. It’s unknown yet whether Matt Fink will return next season, as the NCAA has frozen the eligibility clocks of all players, so Fink, a redshirt senior, would still have the option to return next season if he elects to do so. If he doesn’t, Slovis would be the only returning scholarship quarterback on the roster, meaning Moss and Dart would likely begin an immediate battle for the No. 2 spot as true freshmen. This isn’t the first time in recent years that USC has signed two highly-ranked quarterbacks, as the Trojans signed both Sam Darnold and Ricky Town in the 2015 class.
