USC wide receiver Jordan Addison announced that he will enter the 2023 NFL Draft. Addison’s announcement came as an Instagram post where he thanked his teammates at both Pitt and USC.

The 6-foot, 175-pound receiver put together a tremendous college career. He caught 219 passes for 3,134 yards and 29 touchdowns in three seasons at Pittsburgh and USC.

Addison won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best wide receiver in 2021. That season at Pitt, he caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns.

His one season at USC was derailed a bit by injury and he couldn’t reach nearly that same level of production. But his impact was felt early and often. Despite missing three full games and parts of a fourth, Addison still led the Trojans with 59 receptions, 875 yards and eight touchdowns.

Addison opened the season with four touchdown receptions in the first two games. He caught at least one touchdown pass in his first four games in cardinal and gold.

Addison suffered an ankle injury while putting up a dominant performance against Utah. He finished that game with seven receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown, to go with two carries for 27 yards. But an unfortunate tackle along the sideline injured his ankle. Addison missed games against Arizona and Cal, then played very little against Colorado.

But he saved his best for the rivalry game against UCLA. Addison had 11 receptions for 178 yards and a score in that one. The receptions and receiving yards were season-highs for Addison.

Addison made significant national news last offseason when he entered the transfer portal in early May. A little more than two weeks later, Addison announced his commitment to USC.

USC in the NFL Draft

Addison is a potential first-round pick and could wind up in the discussion as the first wide receiver selected. If he’s taken in the first round, he would make it four years in a row that a Trojan was selected in the first round.

Offensive linemen Austin Jackson and Alijah Vera-Tucker were taken No. 14 and No. 17 overall in the 2020 and 2021 NFL Drafts. Last season, Drake London went No. 8 to the Atlanta Falcons as the first wide receiver selected.
