Sione Laulea

USC has only offered a handful of junior college prospects since the arrival of Lincoln Riley, but Coach Donte Williams offered 2024 College of Mateo (CA) CB Sione Laulea on April 2.

Laulea has also recently earned offers from USC, Oregon, Miami, BYU, Penn St., Illinois, Louisville, Utah, Florida St., Iowa St., Colorado, USF and San Jose St.

Laulea, a now very coveted power five cornerback prospect, has released a top five group ahead of his eventual decision.

His top group is made up of USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, and Oregon.

Laulea has taken official visits to USC, Penn State, and Oregon to this time.

Laulea is one of the top ranked junior college prospects in the nation, holding a 91 rating and 4-star rank in the On300 rankings.

The 6-4 and 185 pounder would provide a college experienced player to Williams’s defensive backs room at USC. Next season the Trojans will need younger guys to step up and replace the likes Jacobe CovingtonMax WilliamsCalen Bullock and Bryson Shaw.

Oregon currently leads the On3 RPM at nearly 84% chance to land the four-star. Penn State also figures to be one of the biggest threats in his recruitment at this time. Laulea has not given a commitment date but it would appear he plans on announcing prior to his upcoming season.
