Warmups

* It looks as though the Trojans will be without cornerback Jacobe Covington in this one. He’s on the sideline watching the cornerbacks go through early warmups.

* Offensive lineman Gino Quinones is on the sideline tonight. It’ll be interesting to see if he takes on any kind of player/coach role following his season-ending injury. He was right in the mix to start at one of the guard positions.

* It does not appear that wide receiver Raleek Brown is in attendance tonight.

* Linebacker Eric Gentry is going through early warmups with the linebackers. Riley said on Thursday that both he and Mason Cobb would be categorized as “questionable” for the game, but that practice later that day could determine their availability.

* Mason Cobb is not suited up for this one. He will miss a second consecutive game for the Trojans.

*Defensive lineman Tyrone Taleni will not play tonight. He hasn’t been available in any of the three games for the Trojans this season.

* USC wins the coin toss and elects to receive.

First Quarter

* USC takes their opening drive into the endzone with a 21-yard touchdown run by Caleb Williams. It’s 7-0 USC with 11:59 remaining in the first quarter.

* Defensive starters for the Trojans:

* Max Williams with the first interception of the season for the Trojans and returns it inside the five-yard line. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty moved it back to the 19-yard line.

* MarShawn Lloyd into the endzone from five yards out. It’s 14-0 Trojans with 9:05 left in the first quarter.

* Austin Jones plunged in from one yard out to give the Trojans their third touchdown of the first quarter. It’s 21-0 Trojans with 7 seconds left in the first quarter.

Second Quarter

* A Solomon Byrd sack knocks Stanford quarterback Ashton Daniels out of the game. Justin Lamson is into the game for the Cardinal.

* Zachariah Branch returns a punt 75 yards for a touchdown. USC leads 28-0 with 13:43 left in the first half.

* USC rush end Jamil Muhammad forced a fumble that’s picked up by Tackett Curtis. Trojans’ ball at the 45-yard line with 12:43 left in the first half.

* Caleb Williams buys time in the pocket and hits Dorian Singer in the back of the endzone for a 19-yard touchdown. It’s the first passing touchdown of the night for Williams as USC takes a 35-0 lead with 10:42 left in the first half.

* Stanford gets on the board with a 38-yard field goal from Joshua Carty. It’s 35-3 USC with 6:57 left in the first half.

* That’s a one-play touchdown drive for the Trojans. Caleb Williams hits Brenden Rice for a 75-yard touchdown. It’s 42-3 USC with 6:46 remaining in the first half.

* Williams to tight end Lake McRee for a 1-yard touchdown. It’s the third passing touchdown of the game for Williams and the fourth overall. It’s 49-3 USC with 10 seconds remaining in the half.

Third Quarter

* USC forces a three-and-out to open the second half and Miller Moss is coming in to play quarterback for the Trojans. Backups are in across the offensive line. Elijah Paige, Alani Noa, Kilian O’Connor, Andrew Milek and Mason Murphy run from left to right.

Fourth Quarter

* Stanford gets into the endzone on a quarterback sneak to make the score 49-10 USC with 3:35 remaining.

* Miller Moss runs it in from 15 yards out and USC has its first points of the second half. It’s 56-10 USC with 58 seconds remaining.

* USC recovers another Stanford fumble and will kneel this win out.
