Miller Moss named starting quarterback for USC Trojans heading into 2024 season
Miller Moss is officially the USC starting quarterback heading into the 2024 season, Trojans’ head coach Lincoln Riley announced Monday.
This was always the expected outcome at the position after Moss took hold of it during the lead up to last year’s Holiday Bowl, played very well in that game and became a strong leader for the program over this past offseason. After a six-touchdown performance in a win against Louisville to end the 2023 season, Moss will have an opportunity to lead the Trojans into a 2024 season that begins with a neutral site game against LSU and features significant matchups against Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame and UCLA.

It’s an opportunity Moss has dreamed about since he was little and one he worked hard for during his time at USC. While many quarterbacks will transfer early if playing time is not available, Moss sat behind two talented quarterbacks over the past three seasons, including Caleb Williams for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
He’s completed 66-of-92 passes for 914 yards and nine touchdowns in 12 games and one start. His performance in the Holiday Bowl set a school record for touchdown passes in a bowl game and touchdown passes thrown by a USC quarterback in his first start.
