This is a special edition of Musings from Arledge Solo Edition. We speak with special guest Sammy Knight, a USC football legend. 

Sammy played at USC from 1993 to 1996. He was a two-time All-Pac 10 selection, team MVP and team Most Inspirational Player in 1996, a key member of the 1995 team that won the Rose Bowl and the 1994 team that won the Cotton Bowl.

Sammy played 12 years in the NFL. He was a Pro Bowler, inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame, and he finished his career with 42 interceptions. 

On this episode we discuss Sammy’s career at USC, what it takes to turn a program around, what makes Caleb Williams and Lincoln Riley special, USC’s recruiting, some disappointments, and the bright future of the program.
