In the first quarter of the Huddle, the panel gives a pretty objective preview of the Arizona State game and how the Trojans should toy with the Sun Devils, who are in a world of hurt due to QB injuries and roster issues. During the discussion, there are some rather pointed comments directed at the ASU situation, although some are quite entertaining, thanks to the sharp wit of the panel.

To lighten the conversation and inject a little nostalgia, the panel was asked – with ASU heading to the Big 12 and the Trojans to the Big 10 – about their favorite memories in the Sun Devils and Trojans rivalry. The panel still hasn’t forgotten that ASU Hail Mary: Can you guess the year?

In the second quarter of the Huddle, the panel ranks the Top 6 teams in the Pac-12 6-to-1. There was near unanimous agreement that the Trojans are the current No. 1 team in the Pac-12, but there was one dissenter who gave his reason why. The panel agreed that Washington has a great offense and sturdy defense, Utah is different without Cameron Rising as their quarterback, and Oregon State gets some love. The panel agrees that USC has not played anybody, and there is concern about the softness of their schedule.

The panel also gives their national Top 10, and while they agree unanimously on Georgia being No. 1 in the country, there was certainly a difference of opinion after the Bulldogs. Where did each panelist list the Trojans? For that matter, where did the panel list the other Pac-12 teams, and let’s not forget Notre Dame? It’s not just a lively discussion; it’s an informative one, as well. One panelist makes a surprise pick at No. 10. Care to guess who was that team?

Halftime answers two questions by the panel: What are the panel’s feelings regarding this USC team not always being uniformed in their uniforms? In other words, some players wear different types of shoe colors and different colored tights. One panelist was adamant about players all dressing the same because that’s what they call a uniform. One panelist came to the support of this panelist to underscore those criteria.

The second Halftime question centered around winning a fantasy lottery that would pay for air, food, and lodging for a weekend trip to any college football around the country, with the exception of a USC game. Obviously, one panelist got the discussion going by saying he would go to see Ohio State and Michigan but named some other rivalry games as alternatives. Who said Texas/Oklahoma, the Iron Bowl, and a couple of others? It was good stuff.

In the third quarter, the panel does its Big Ten Lightning Round Q&A to a series of quick-hitting questions that required “over or under,” “yes or no,” or “fill-in-the-blank answers.” Some of the questions pertain to Saturday’s game at Arizona State that include the weather, game attendance,

Caleb’s ASU stats, Bear Alexander, Lake McRee, regular popcorn or Kettle Korn, paying for parking, and a bonus question regarding favorite car brands.

There is a break in the action between the third and fourth quarter of the Huddle for the ceremonial and symbolic lighting of the WeAreSC Coliseum torch, just like at a USC Coliseum home game.

In the fourth quarter, the conversation turns to score predictions for Week 4 action. The panel names their winners for almost all of this weekend’s Pac-12 game, and also give their predictions for Ohio State at Notre Dame and Florida State at Clemson.

In Overtime, the panel takes viewers’ questions relating to position groups, the Coliseum DJ, the backup center, the biggest threat to USC: Notre Dame, Washington, or Oregon, and more.
