NEWS: 4-Star WR Luc Weaver Commits to USC

Four-star Sherman Oaks (CA) Notre Dame wide receiver Luc Weaver visited USC two weeks ago and before leaving campus, he had an offer from Lincoln Riley and the Trojans. On Saturday Weaver announced his commitment to USC.

Prior to Saturday’s commitment, Washington appeared to be a strong competitor. Weaver had an official visit to Seattle on May 30, Minnesota for June 13 and an official visit to UCLA was being discussed as well.

July was the initial time Weaver was looking to commit, but that obviously changed with GM Chad Bowden and the Trojans pushing for early commitments.

Who’s Next?

This may be a bit off topic, but there are multiple players to choose from on our “Most Likely to Commit” list. 

While this could change tomorrow, next week or next month, as of today we believe the most likely 2026 USC targets to commit are QB Ryder Lyons from Folsom (CA), OL Malakai Lee from Kemehameha Schools in Honolulu (HI), OL Sam Utu from Orange (CA) Lutheran, LB Talanoa Ili from Kahuku (HI), TE Luke Sorensen from Servite HS in Anaheim (CA), Edge Kevin Ford from Duncanville (TX), DL Khary Wilder from Serra HS in Gardena (CA) and LB Shaun Scott from Mater Dei HS in Santa Ana (CA.

Those are nine top targets listed above and we believe USC has about that many spots available for the 2026 recruiting class. If they all were to commit to the Trojans, and there are multiple USC predictions submitted for all but Kevin Ford and Khary Wilder, it would be one whopper of a recruiting class for Lincoln Riley and staff.

USC’s No. 1 ranked 2026 recruiting class currently has 27 committed players from the 2026 recruiting class in Luc Weaver, Elbert Hill, Roderick Tezeno, Kannon Smith, Vlad Dyakonov, Deshonne Redeaux, Jake Johnson, Kohen Brown, TomTom Topui, Malik Brooks, Chase Deniz, Jaimeon Winfield, John Fifita, Esun Tafa, Trent Mosely, Simote Katonaga, Jonas Williams, Xavier Griffin, RJ Sermons, Brandon Lockhart, Braeden Jones, Madden Riordan, Joshua Holland, Shahn Alston, Andrew Williams and Ja’Myron “Tron” Baker.
