O/NSO: Beat the Cardinal – Stanford at No. 6 USC edition

The Obvious: With the potential for a Coliseum sellout and the Pac-12 Conference opener for both teams, the No. 6 USC Trojans (2-0, 0-0 Pac-12) will host the Stanford Cardinal (1-0, 0-0 Pac-12) in their final series game as members of the Pac-12 this Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. PT in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Not So Obvious: It’s still hard to believe that in 2024, USC will be in the Big Ten Conference while Stanford will join the Atlantic Coast Conference. So many generations of memories from games and extraordinary athletes' performances have waged gridiron war in this private school conflict. It’s all going to be swept away in the interest of money and future conference security. Will they ever meet again in the foreseeable future?
