The Obvious: The No. 7 USC Trojans (2-0, 1-0 Pac-12) return home for Saturday night’s non-conference game against the upstart Fresno State Bulldogs (1-1, 0-0 MWC) in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and based on the growing excitement in southern and central California, it could be a Coli sellout for the 7:30 p.m. kickoff (PT). The Not So Obvious: While last Saturday showcased the Trojans’ explosive offense in its 41-28 victory at Stanford and its first Pac-12 Conference game victory, Fresno State came within one final play of the game in Fresno from pulling out a win over Oregon State, a game dramatically won by the Beavers, 35-32, before a sellout throng in Bulldogs Stadium. Fresno State could just as easily won the game and entered this week’s game against the Trojans undefeated.
