Offensive Tackle Chase Deniz Commits to USC

Three-star San Diego (CA) Cathedral Catholic offensive tackle Chase Deniz (6-7, 305) has announced his commitment to USC a day after a March 25 unofficial visit.
“After an amazing visit and careful consideration I am honored and blessed to say I am 100% committed to playing college football at the University of Southern California! I want to thank my family and coaches for being there with me on this journey.”
Deniz currently owns offers from USC, Boise State, San Diego State, Utah State, Colorado State, Air Force, New Mexico and Northern Arizona.
USC hosted an impressive group of top targets on Tuesday for the first 2025 spring practice. Among the visitors was Deniz, DT TomTom Topui, CB Brandon Arrington, WR Kohen Brown, TE Andre Nickerson, LB Kenneth Goodwin, SFA Gavin Day and top 2027 targets SFA Khalil Terry and DL Jon Ioane.

Zach Hanson and USC are also still in hot pursuit of offensive tackles Keenyi Pepe from IMG Academy, Malakai Lee from Kamehameha Schools, Vlad Dyakonov from Folsom (CA), Kodi Greene from Mater Dei, Joel Ervin from Fort Myers (FL), Kevin Olbot from Fruitland (ID) and Claude Mpouma from Chicago (IL).
USC’s No. 1 ranked 2026 recruiting class
As of March 25, USC owns the No. 1 2026 recruiting class ranking. That class ranking was bolstered a bit last Friday morning with a verbal commitment from No. 84 overall ranked defensive lineman Jaimeon Winfield from Richardson, Texas.
The 15 committed players for the Trojans are Chase Deniz, Jaimeon Winfield, John Fifita, Esun Tafa, Trent Mosely, Simote Katonaga, Jonas Williams, Xavier Griffin, RJ Sermons, Brandon Lockhart, Braeden Jones, Madden Riordan, Joshua Holland, Shahn Alston, Andrew Williams and Ja’Myron “Tron” Baker.
