One coach's take on USC's NIL approach regarding high school prospects

After a bit of a rough stretch in recruiting over the past month or so for USC, much of the outside conversation has surrounded NIL and whether or not USC can compete with their current strategies. While some schools around the country are out in the open as utilizing NIL to offer large amounts of money to recruits, primarily through collectives, USC has seemingly remained hesitant to approach the matter in a similar way. Instead, it appears USC players are reaping major financial benefits of NIL and collectives once they arrive on campus and are full fledged members of the program rather than being promised anything in their recruitments. The primary collective in support of USC has been House of Victory, who has announced partnerships with 34 of USC's football players in 2023.
