QB Jake Jensen Commits to USC
Former BYU and Contra Costa QB Jake Jensen has committed to USC. He had committed to and signed with New Mexico on May 23, but couldn’t pass up the opportunity from the Trojans.
Jensen is a native of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and he joined CCC in 2021 after spending a year at BYU. With Contra Costa in 2021, Jensen went 155-for-268 (a 57.9 completion percentage) with 22 touchdowns and just nine interceptions as the Comets went 9-1 on the season. Jensen also added 105 yards on the ground with four touchdowns.
He had his best game in the season finale, throwing for 339 yards (one of two 300-yard games on the season) with four touchdowns and no picks in a 28-19 win over Foothill JC. Jensen threw for at least one touchdown in nine of his 10 games.

At Pleasant Grove High School he was 144-of-244 (57.8%) as a senior with 2,431 yards and 21 touchdowns with seven interceptions. Over his three-year career as a starter he threw for 7,423 yards and 61 touchdowns, completing 460 passes. He also added 16 more touchdowns rushing.
Prior to Contra Costa, he spent a year at BYU, where he did not play during the 2020 season and then he participated in 2021 Spring Ball. Jensen has also served a two-year LDS Mission to Argentina.
Jensen is a transfer from Contra Costa College with three years of eligibility.
